5 Stars Smooth ride
I’ve been commuting to work on these all spring. The ride is a *lot* smoother than my old half nobby/half smooth tires.
5 Stars Excellent value and performance
I purchased one of these tires to replace the rear on my K2 Easy Street Deuce, which I bought right here on Amazon and is a great bike by the way. The tire has performed very well so far. It is a bit heavier than the tire it replaced, but due to the tread pattern it actually rolls faster.
I use my bike mainly on city streets and paved trails, and this tire grips those surfaces very well. It also feels secure and stable at higher speeds.
Since I sometimes ride at dusk, I value the added safety feature of the reflective stripe, and I actually like the look of the stripe on the tire. So far the puncture resistant properties have held up, as I have not experienced a flat on the bike, but in the future I am sure to encounter some sharp debris on a ride or two and I will update my review then.
So far I have found this tire to be a great value for its features and performance. When it goes on sale, I’ll be sure to purchase another for my front rim.
5 Stars Excellent grip, smooth rolling, great puncture protection.
I’m using these on all my 26″ wheels. Would Highly recomend them to anyone who is looking to replace knobbies on mountain bikes. Great for city riding. Since there aren’t many of us who actually go to muddy hills and grassy paths to ride, these Michelins are an excellent choice for the money. The reflective sidewall adds visibility as well and it contributes to bike’s overall appearance. High marks from this city rider…
4 Stars Michelin City Tire 26 x 1.85 Reflective Strip Black
great product! great service from seller. no complains!
i haven’t checked 5 stars bc i have to see how good the product is in the next few months…
2 Stars Nice handling - Very Low Quality
I bought a set of the 1.85″ version 3 months ago. I am very unimpressed by this tire. It claims to have a puncture resistant liner and yet these tires are flat magnets. I have gotten 6 flats in the front tire in as many weeks, one of them required a new tube. The rear tire only lasted 2 weeks because the tire had a sidewall defect. While I was treated nicely by the company I bought this tire from on the warranty return - 4 weeks later I still don’t have a replacement.
Ironically I am using an 8 year old walmart tire as a replacement. That tire has never gotten a flat even once.
I gave a 2 star rating for these tires because when they manage to hold air and not blow out their sidewalls they really do handle well because of their tight tread and round profile. Perhaps Michelin can figure out how to make the actually flat resistant.
I’ve used a lot of Michelin tires on cars and bikes and liked them but these tires are junk.
